Dr Neil Robinson, a Research Associate in the Fluid Science and Resources Research Group at UWA, was recently awarded the Tim Mays Award for Best Postdoc Talk at the GWPore conference on Porous Materials for Energy, Environment and Healthcare Applications.
The conference was the flagship porous materials event of the GW4 Network, a consortium of UK-based research institutions comprising the Universities of Bristol, Bath, Exeter and Cardiff. The event had a global reach, involving 80 participants from the UK, Australia, South Africa, India, China, Nigeria, Spain and Senegal.
Neil’s talk, entitled “Understanding adsorption and dynamics in porous solids with NMR relaxation”, provided an overview of the magnetic resonance research activities currently underway at UWA, and highlighted recent his successes in the field of heterogeneous catalysis.
