PhD Candidate
Liquid hydrogen
Behnam Nasrollahzadeh commenced his PhD studies in 2022, following the completion of a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering in Iran in 2015. His research focuses on the development of new experimental facility to study the freeze-out and solid–fluid equilibrium (SFE) of the impurities in liquid hydrogen (LH2). Such impurities can cause blockages and plant shutdowns at trace concentrations, with significant financial and safety consequences. His PhD will produce a stand-alone facility, solubility datasets, and optimize the model parameters for the new experimental SFE data.
PhD Title: Measurement and Modelling for the Thermophysical Properties of Hydrogen Fluids
