Catherine joined the group in 2019 after graduating from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. Her project focus is understanding the kinetic and thermodynamic behavior of solids in liquefied natural gas processing. To this end, Catherine has commissioned a new visual microscopy-based cryogenic apparatus for the observation of solid formation from mixtures containing trace quantities of impurities commonly found in natural gas.
PhD Title: High-resolution optical detection of solids in liquefied natural gas
