PhD Candidate
Flow Assurance
In 2017, Louis commenced his PhD program at the University of Western Australia. His research was focused on transient hydrocarbon fluid heat loss through insulated subsea pipelines and subsequent heat transfer modelling. Since early 2018, he has conducted research at the Colorado School of Mines (CSM) as a visiting scholar, with a focus on fundamental fluid dynamics in flow assurance. The high-pressure water tunnel (HPWT) is the primary instrument in which the effect of hydrates on bubbly flow dynamics and slip ratios are studied.
