Research Fellow
Mauricio is a Principal Research Engineer at the CSIRO and holds a joint appointment with UWA on natural gas hydrates in flow assurance. In 2017 he completed his PhD in Mechanical and Chemical Engineering at UWA. He is currently the manager of the Hytra flowloop at the Australian Resources Research Centre in Perth. Prior to joining the CSIRO in 2007, Mauricio worked during 13 years in R&D projects at PDVSA (Venezuela), focusing on the physical-chemistry and hydrodynamics of production and drilling fluids. His expertise includes oil and gas thermodynamics, multiphase flow in pipelines, properties of emulsions and colloidal systems and laboratory management.
