In 2015, Vincent completed a Bachelor of Chemical & Process Engineering with First Class Honours at UWA. His project focus is hydrate nucleation and probability. Formation of hydrates is stochastic within the stable phase equilibrium region, which means nucleation is a distributed property with some probability associated with different thermodynamic properties, an example would be subcooling. The main objective of this project is to deploy newly built apparatus that could measure thousands of nucleation events in an automated fashion within reasonable timeframes. The data obtained will generate probability distributions that can be applied to management and design of oil & gas production pipelines.
