A thermodynamic property calculator for LNG and natural gas with the ability to perform vapour-liquid-solid equilibrium calculations, capture complex solid formation behaviour and generate phase envelopes.
To install ThermoFAST, simply download the link, and extract the “.zip” file anywhere on your hard drive. Once extracted simply double click on the ThermoFAST icon to begin using the tool. Because it’s an .exe file you may need administrator privileges. Alternatively, you can avoid installing any software by using ThermoFAST Web, which has reduced functionality but runs through your browser.
In both cases, user documentation is available through the user interface.
If you have any feedback, questions about the software or want updates on our product, please don’t hesitate to contact any of the following developers:

The GPA Midstream-sponsored database of cryogenic solubility measurements for binary mixtures of natural gas components is available at the following link.
The most current version of ThermFAST is 1.2.1, which was released on 16 March 2020. Improvements in this version include:
- More accurate solids equilibria binary interaction parameters for carbon dioxide + methane, neo-pentane + methane, p-xylene + methane, and p-xylene + ethane
- Elimination of format issues for European versions of Windows
The most current version of ThermoFAST Web is 0.2.0, which was released on 13 November 2020. This version only does flash and solid transition searches. Phase envelopes and other graphical outputs are not currently available.
