Neil Robinson Finalist in the Paul Callaghan Young Investigator Award

August 26, 2021

Research Associate Dr Neil Robinson from the UWA Fluid Science and Resources Research Group was recently a finalist in the 2021 Paul Callaghan Young Investigator Award.

A Research Associate working with Prof Mike Johns, Neil’s work focuses on the application of advanced magnetic resonance methods to characterise fluid behaviour in porous solids.

The Paul Callaghan Young Investigator Award competition, named after the late Sir Paul Callaghan (1947 – 2012), was held during the 16th International Congress on Magnetic Resonance Microscopy (ICMRM 2021), where the six finalists presented their work to a global audience of over 150 members of the magnetic resonance community.

Neil’s presentation was based on his recent preprint “Functional group resolved nuclear spin relaxation in porous media”, which can be found on ChemRxiv here.
