Congratulations to PhD Candidate Arman Siahvashi on being awarded a National Measurement Institute Award

May 28, 2018

PhD Candidate, Arman Siahvashi, from the Australian Research Council Centre for LNG Futures at The University of Western Australia has been awarded a National Measurement Institute Award for outstanding precision measurements and novelty.  His work on low temperature measurements in hydrocarbons has promising applications in improving the distribution of some of the 37 million tonnes of Liquefied Natural Gas that Australia exports each year, worth over $16 billion. His measurement technique has also attracted significant attention from NASA scientists due to the relevance to their studies on the geological weathering processes on Saturn’s moon Titan.

Congratulations Arman, an award well-deserved.
